Thursday, December 4, 2014 - Milwaukee, WI - MA'RUF
MA’RUF expresses its disappointment in the Staten Island grand jury decision to return an indictment against officer Daniel Pantaleo whose illegal chokehold led to the death of Eric Garner. Garner died during an arrest after he was attempting to break-up a fight. Chokeholds have been banned by the NYPD since 1993.

Race, Freedom, and Trust in Ferguson and Beyond
Thursday, August 14, 2014 - Milwaukee, WI - MA'RUF expresses its dismay at Ferguson city officials of the mistreatment of Americans protesting against the unlawful murder of the 18 year old unarmed Michael Brown. Michael Brown was shot to death by Ferguson city police while unarmed and with his hands in the air. Our hearts and prayers are with the family of Michael who must live not only with the reminder of the loss of their son, but of the racial polarization and ignorance that still lurks within the backdrops of our nation.
Since his death, more and more Americans are calling for justice for Michael by swiftly prosecuting the police officer responsible for the killing. The American people have come out on theRead More
